The Philippines

At the end of November 2018, the Primus, His Grace, Metropolitan Jerome of Selsey on behalf of the Holy Synod received into Communion the bishop, clergy and some 450 faithful of the six missions comprising La Iglesia Catolica Antigua en Filipinas as a Territorial Vicariate within the Province of Europe, Africa & Asia, appointing HE The Most Reverend Rommel N. Banag as Vicar Capitular.

Four of the six missions of the Vicariate are located in Novaliches, Quezon City’s northernmost and primarily residential district, two in Bagbag another in San Bartolome and one in Talipapa. Another mission is located in Montalban, otherwise known as Rodriguez, Rizal a 1st class municipality in the province of Rizal, Philippines, north of Quezon. According to the 2015 census, Montalban has a population of 369,222 people making it the most populous municipality in the country. The last and largest mission of the Vicariate is located south of Quezon in Bacoor City, Cavite. Here four Masses are offered every Sunday to accommodate 170 faithful.
